# What to use instead of Kryll

Kryll stopped every trading strategy on its hosted bot platform on 28 June 2024. Where its drag-and-drop bots, terminal and webhooks go now.

A hosted no-code bot platform with a drag-and-drop strategy editor, a marketplace of rented strategies and a smart trading terminal, paid in its own KRL token.

## Replacements

*Ordered by how much of the original’s job each one covers, closest first. Paid placement does not affect this order.*

1. [Cryptohopper](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/cryptohopper.md) — The nearest to Kryll's editor, with indicator and candlestick conditions assembled without code and run hosted. One trading bot per subscription.
2. [Coinrule](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/coinrule.md) — Hosted no-code rules, in a visual if-this-then-that builder or typed in plain English, with a free paper plan to try them on.
3. [Altrady](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/altrady.md) — The Smart Trading Terminal half, with stop-loss, layered take-profit and trailing in one order form, plus bots and iOS and Android apps.
4. [WunderTrading](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/wundertrading.md) — If your Kryll bots started from TradingView webhooks. Alert-driven execution, grid and DCA bots and a free plan, on 16 exchanges.
5. [OctoBot](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/octobot.md) — Free and self-hosted, the road Kryll itself has taken with KryllOS. The difference is that OctoBot trades live today.

## The product

Kryll, run by the French company Cryptense, was a hosted bot platform for people who did not
code. Its strategy editor was a drag-and-drop canvas of blocks: indicators such as MACD, RSI,
moving averages, Supertrend and Bollinger Bands, candlestick patterns, and the conditions between
them. A marketplace let you rent strategies other users had built. In 2023 its homepage claimed
"280+ strategies" there. Beside the bots sat a Smart Trading Terminal for stop-losses, multiple
take-profits and trailing stops, webhooks, and iOS and Android apps. The homepage counted nine
exchanges, naming KuCoin, Binance, Kraken, Binance US, Crypto.com, Bybit, HitBTC and Gate.io.

The pricing was the unusual part. Building strategies cost nothing. Running one live, or using
the terminal, was charged on the capital traded and paid in KRL, Kryll's own token. The pricing
page's example charged a strategy with 500 dollars of capital 5 dollars a month. Holding more KRL
on the account cut the fees by up to 95% and allowed more bots at once. A rented strategy added
its author's fee on top.

**The vendor ended it in two steps, both on its own blog.** On 13 May 2024 it announced that
Kryll would become Kryll³, an AI portfolio-tracking and token-research product. Its Dev Diary of 12
July 2024 then reported what had already happened:

> On June 28th, with a heavy heart, our team executed these scripts, and the last strategies were
> stopped without any undesirable impacts on our users.

The same scripts blocked deposits, disabled registrations and deactivated the Marketplace. The
platform stayed up for withdrawals of KRL. On 10 February 2026 the vendor wrote of "shutting down
the Kryll automated trading platform" as something done over a year earlier, and announced Kryll
Reboot, now KryllOS: a self-hosted bot app the vendor promises to open-source. By its 0.6.1 release on 21 October
2026, KryllOS paper-trades. Live trading is the stated next step, behind a waitlist.

## What to use instead

Kryll was three products for one kind of user: the editor, the terminal and the marketplace. The
picks split along the first two.

**If you built strategies in the editor,** [Cryptohopper](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/cryptohopper) is the closest in
spirit. Its Strategy Designer assembles more than 130 indicators and candlestick patterns into
buy and sell conditions without code, and the bot runs on the vendor's servers. It sells one
trading bot per subscription, which is a different model from
Kryll's charge on capital. [Coinrule](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/coinrule) builds hosted rules in a visual
if-this-then-that editor or, on its newer Cloud product, from plain English. Its free plan
paper-trades, which is the cheapest way to find out whether a Kryll strategy survives the
translation.

**If what you used was the terminal,** [Altrady](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/altrady) puts stop-loss, layered
take-profits and trailing into one Smart Order, with grid and signal bots and iOS and Android
apps beside it. Its exchange list keeps the tail Kryll had, with HitBTC, Crypto.com, Gate.io and
KuCoin on it.

**If your bots started from TradingView alerts,** [WunderTrading](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/wundertrading) is built
around exactly that, with grid and DCA bots and a free plan, on sixteen exchanges.

**If the lesson was not to trust a hosted platform again,** the vendor drew it too. KryllOS is
not live-trading yet. [OctoBot](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/octobot) is free under GPL-3.0, configured in a web
interface, and trades live on eighteen tested exchanges that still trade, from a machine you keep on.

The hosted platforms are compared on

[trading bots](https://cryptomarkets.tools/categories/trading-bots).

## What you give up

**A canvas instead of a form.** Kryll strategies were graphs of blocks you could read at a glance
and branch freely. Cryptohopper and Coinrule build strategies from lists of conditions. They cover
the common cases, but a strategy with many branches has to be flattened or split.

**Paying in proportion to what you traded.** Kryll's fee scaled with the capital a strategy ran,
so a small account paid little. Cryptohopper, Coinrule and Altrady charge by the plan, not by the
capital. On a few hundred dollars that is a larger share of the capital.

**The marketplace, by design.** Renting a strategy somebody else wrote is buying a trading
decision, and this catalogue does not list that. Nothing on this page replaces Kryll's
marketplace. Cryptohopper runs one of its own, and this page does not point you at it.

## Migration notes

**Rebuild, then paper-trade before you trust it.** Indicators differ in their defaults and in
how they warm up, so the same RSI rule on two platforms fires on different candles. Run the
rebuilt strategy on paper or in a backtest first.
[What a crypto backtest assumes](https://cryptomarkets.tools/guides/what-a-crypto-backtest-assumes) lists what to compare.

**Revoke the Kryll exchange keys.** Nothing has run on them since 28 June 2024, and a key that is
never used is one you will forget exists. Delete it at each exchange, and issue new trade-only
keys per platform with withdrawals off, as
[what your API key lets a bot do](https://cryptomarkets.tools/guides/what-your-api-key-lets-a-bot-do) explains.

**Your history is at the exchanges.** Kryll's bot statistics lived on its servers and its notices
name no export. The fills are still at each venue;
[how to export exchange trade history](https://cryptomarkets.tools/how-to/export-exchange-trade-history) covers the routes.

**The KRL fee discount does not carry over.** Holding levels bought fee cuts and bot slots on Kryll
only. No pick here accepts KRL or prices in it, so any balance left is a token you hold, not a
credit you can spend.

## FAQ

### When exactly did Kryll shut down?

On 28 June 2024. Kryll's own Dev Diary of 12 July 2024 says that on 28 June its team ran the scripts that stopped the last strategies still running, blocked deposits, disabled registrations and deactivated the Marketplace. The platform stayed open after that for KRL withdrawals only.

### Is KryllOS the same product?

No. KryllOS, announced as Kryll Reboot on 10 February 2026, is software you install on your own machine or server. Its 0.6.1 release of 21 October 2026 added paper trading and called live trading the next big step, so on that date it did not yet trade real money.

### What happened to KRL held on the platform?

The July 2024 Dev Diary says the platform remained available for KRL withdrawals until further notice, and Kryll added a withdrawal route to a self-custody wallet at a reduced fee. We did not test whether that route still works in October 2026.

### Can I take my Kryll strategies with me?

Not that the vendor has said. The 2024 notices name no export of strategies or bot history, and nothing on this page reads Kryll's block format. Rebuild the logic by hand, and take your trade history from the exchanges themselves.
