## What it is

A multi-chain data API for teams building wallets, trading apps and token dashboards. The core
is token pricing computed from on-chain pools, plus the things a wallet front end needs next to
it: trades per pool and per token, OHLCV, token metadata and security checks, new listings, and
wallet portfolios, transaction history, positions, PnL and NFT holdings. The vendor claims "over
90 EVM and non-EVM chains"; its guides highlight Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain and Base, and the
docs carry chain-specific material for Stellar, TON and Robinhood Chain.

Delivery is REST and GraphQL, websocket streams (the docs list more than ten, including the Pulse
feed of new and trending tokens), and webhooks for raw on-chain events. A TypeScript SDK sits on
top.

Mobula sells more than data under the same brand — a swap and execution API, perpetuals trading
across Gains Network and Lighter, a bridge API and a prediction-markets API. Those are bought by
somebody routing orders rather than reading prices, and this card covers the data API only.

## Pricing

Four plans on the vendor's documentation pricing page: Free, Start-up at $50 a month, Growth at
$400, and Enterprise from $750. No annual rate is published. The marketing site's `/pricing`
path returned a 404 page on 2026-10-04, so the documentation page is the one on record.

The unit is a credit, and for most endpoints one call is one credit — which makes Mobula's
numbers closer to a request count than most competitors' credits. The exceptions are the ones a
wallet app hits hardest. Portfolio, history, positions and token-balance calls cost one credit
**per chain** queried, so a portfolio lookup across ten chains is ten credits. Price history and
OHLCV history are 5, wallet analysis 5, DeFi positions and token security 10, fast search and
`/all` 5.

Streaming is billed by the minute as well as by the data. The docs' own example: watching five
assets on a 30-second refresh costs 660 credits an hour, which is about 475,000 credits over a
30-day month — more than three times Start-up's allowance, and only Growth carries websockets at
all. Custom indexing is priced at 500 credits per worker-hour, 360,000 credits a month for one
always-on pipeline.

There is also a pay-per-use route for agents: the changelog records x402 micropayment support
from March 2026 and its own subscription scheme, MPP (Mobula Payment Protocol). The pricing page
carries no rate for either.

## Data & coverage

Prices are pool-derived. The documented engine gathers price, volume, reserves and depth from
every pool trading a token, chooses volume- or reserve-weighting, drops outlier and manipulated
pools, and returns a weighted average. That is the right number for a long-tail token that only
trades on-chain, and a different number from a centralised-exchange quote for a major asset.
Batch pricing takes up to 500 tokens a request.

Beyond pools: a CeFi funding-rate endpoint returns the latest rate for a symbol across Binance,
Bybit, OKX, Deribit, Bitget, MEXC, Kraken, Coinbase and others, and the perps endpoints give OHLC
candles, pairs and wallet positions for Gains Network and Lighter.

Wallet endpoints cover EVM chains and Solana in the guides, with portfolio, history and historical
net worth across chains in one call — billed per chain, as above.

## Integrations

`@mobula_labs/sdk` on npm is published by the `mobula_labs` account and was last released as
0.1.18 on 24 August 2026; it covers the REST and websocket endpoints. The package names
`MobulaFi/mobula-api` as its repository, which GitHub returned as not found on 2026-10-04 — the
source is not publicly visible. Authentication is a key in the `Authorization` header.

No product MCP server is documented. An MCP request to the documentation host answers, but that
is the endpoint the docs platform mounts on every site it hosts, and it serves the manual.

## Limitations

The docs promise a keyless demo host for testing. On 2026-10-04 both `demo-api.mobula.io` and
`api.mobula.io` answered unauthenticated requests with `403` and "API access is unavailable on
the Free plan", so plan on signing in before your first call; whether the free key itself now
reaches the data was not tested.

The free plan's one request a second and 10,000 credits suit a prototype, not a product. The
jump from Start-up to websockets is $50 to $400 a month.

Per-chain wallet billing punishes the multi-chain use case the product is sold on: the wider the
portfolio lookup, the faster the credits go.

No centralised-exchange spot prices, order books or trade tapes — the only CEX data is funding
rates.

## Alternatives

[Birdeye Data API](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/birdeye-data) is the closest match on Solana, with deeper holder and
wallet endpoints there and compute-unit metering. The [CoinGecko API](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/coingecko-api) adds
centralised-exchange aggregation and its onchain endpoints to one key. [Bitquery](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/bitquery)
answers the same wallet and trade questions as GraphQL queries over raw chain data.

## FAQ

### Is the Mobula API free?

There is a free plan of 10,000 credits a month at one request a second, behind a sign-in. The keyless demo host the docs describe did not serve data on 2026-10-04 — it answered 403 with the message that API access is unavailable on the Free plan.

### How does Mobula count credits?

Most endpoints cost one credit a call. The exceptions are listed in the docs — price history and OHLCV history cost 5, wallet portfolio and history cost 1 per chain queried, DeFi positions and token security 10. An open websocket costs 1 credit a minute plus the credits of the data it pushes, and each webhook trigger costs 1.

### Where do Mobula prices come from?

From on-chain liquidity pools. The documented pricing engine collects price, volume and reserves from every pool trading a token, filters outliers and manipulated pools, and takes a weighted average. It is a DEX-derived number, not a centralised-exchange quote.

### Does Mobula have an MCP server?

No product MCP server is documented. The only MCP endpoint found, on its documentation host, is the one the docs platform mounts for every site it hosts, and it serves the manual rather than market data.
