# OpenMarket

Free order-flow charts across 29 crypto venues, with an MCP server that drives them.

**Best for:** traders who read footprint, heatmap, TPO and options positioning across several exchanges and want it free; not for a price-certain subscription or an iPhone app.

## What it is

A charting platform for traders who read order flow: footprint charts, order-book heatmaps,
cumulative volume delta, TPO (market profile), liquidation maps, and a twelve-indicator options
suite built from Deribit's live options board — dealer gamma exposure, walls, the volatility
surface and options flow. Most of it can be aggregated, so a footprint, a volume profile or a
funding chart merges several exchanges into one view. It runs in the browser, as a desktop beta
for macOS and Linux, and as an Android app.

It was Kiyotaka. kiyotaka.ai redirects to openmarket.xyz, and the documentation's API sandbox still
prints `api.kiyotaka.ai`. The product has grown past crypto since: the homepage now sells "every
market in one place" — US stocks, CME futures, forex, economic data and Polymarket odds beside the
crypto venues. This card covers the crypto half and evaluates nothing else.

Three names stand behind it. The homepage footer says Openmarket Labs; the terms and the help
centre say the platform is operated by Thalamus Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation. The
product, the support and the disclosures all carry the OpenMarket name, which is the one this
card files it under.

## Pricing

**The charts are free.** The plans page in the help centre says every plan "runs on the same
data. Free gets every exchange, every chart type, and the same live feeds Plus users see". What
Free limits is how much runs at once.

**OpenMarket Plus raises the ceilings**, by the help centre's own table read on 23 October 2026,
free first and Plus second:

- workspaces, 10 and 50;
- data-indicator slots (heatmap, footprint, community scripts), 3 shared by a layout and 10 per
  chart — classic indicators such as RSI or MACD take none;
- active price alerts, 200 and 500; active indicator alerts, 5 and 50;
- widgets per layout, 3 and 10; private indicators, 100 and 500;
- order-book depth on the heatmaps, reduced and full.

Plus alone adds 1-second candles, a longer history lookback, a Hyperliquid address overlay and a
"Top Callers" list. **Its price is not on any public page.** The help centre sends you to the
in-app plans page, which picks monthly or annual billing at checkout and takes cards, crypto and
USDC on Solana; that page is part of the application and was not read. A free trial is mentioned
without a length.

**Other charges, each on its own terms:**

- **Screener capacity is earned by referrals, not bought.** The kScreener starts at 10 assets
refreshed every 15 seconds and reaches 50 assets updated live at 100 referred sign-ups.
- **Real-time CME data** is a separate subscription in two bundles, priced by professional status
at checkout; delayed CME data is free.
- **Orders on Hyperliquid** carry a [builder fee](https://cryptomarkets.tools/glossary/builder-fee) of 0.02% of notional,
paid to OpenMarket on top of the venue's own fees.
- **Script marketplace** sales carry a 20% fee; selling access to your own scripts elsewhere does
  not.
- **The Data API** is a separate product with its own pricing, billed by request weight rather than
  by call: Free (10 weight a minute, 7 days of history), Basic 99 USD a month or 990 a year (150 a
  minute, 30 days), Standard 199 or 1,990 (350 a minute, 90 days), Advanced 599 or 5,990 (1,500 a
minute, a year), and Enterprise on request.

## Data & coverage

**Twenty-nine crypto venues, by the homepage's count**, recorded trade by trade; the help centre
says "more than 20". The Data API's exchange table names the derivatives venues — Binance USD-M and
COIN-M, Bybit, OKX swaps and futures, Deribit, BitMEX, Bitget, Bitfinex, Gate.io, Hyperliquid
perpetuals and HIP-3 markets, three Huobi contracts — and spot on Binance, Bybit, Coinbase, OKX,
Bitfinex, Gate.io, Bitstamp, Upbit, Huobi and Hyperliquid, plus Solana memecoins charted from
their first trade.

**BitMEX is on that list and no longer trades.** The exchange ceased trading on 23 September 2026;
the API's exchange table and the API page's integration row still named it on 23 October 2026.

**History depends on the plan.** Plus "extends the lookback", without a number in the help centre.
The MCP server's own documentation is the one place with figures: 364 days of candles on Plus and
719 hours — just under 30 days — on Free.

**CME is the weak feed.** An open known issue says CME futures charts can lag, freeze or show gaps
during incidents at the data provider, and that the vendor is moving to another. Custom scripts do
not run on CME markets, and CME data cannot leave the chart through the API, MCP or an agent.

## Integrations

**MCP server, first-party.** At `mcp.openmarket.xyz`, over Streamable HTTP with OAuth; an
unauthenticated `initialize` request returned 401 with the realm "OpenMarket MCP" on 23 October
2026, while a fabricated path beside it returned 404. Four scopes: `mcp:read` (the open chart's
numbers, candles, open interest, funding, screens — 60 chart reads a minute per key),
`mcp:chart` (symbols, indicators, drawings, new charts), `mcp:trade` (place, modify and cancel
orders, positions, balances and fills, executed through your open tab) and `mcp:alerts`. The vendor
documents setup for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, claude.ai and ChatGPT; ChatGPT gets a separate
endpoint that serves every tool except trading.

**wrun**, the scripting language: TypeScript syntax, compiled to WebAssembly, run in the browser
while you chart or on the vendor's servers when the code stays private. A script can draw, raise
an alert on its outputs, or become a strategy with a tester. Published scripts are open, compiled
or protected, for everyone, by invitation or for you alone; a migration guide covers Pine Script.

**Alerts** fire as an in-app toast, an email or a webhook, with message presets for Discord and
Telegram and up to ten saved destinations. **Kata**, the built-in assistant, writes an indicator
from a description, which is why `ai_features` reads `assistive`.

**Order entry** from the chart, the ticket and the depth ladder. The terms (last updated 28
September 2026) describe crypto execution on Hyperliquid perpetuals only: a trading key you
authorise with your wallet, generated and kept in your browser, able to trade but not to withdraw,
expiring within 180 days. The help centre, updated 20 October, says Binance and Bybit as well.
OpenMarket never holds the key or the funds by its own terms, which is what keeps it on the
terminal side of this catalogue's custody line.

## Limitations

**The paid plan has no public price.** Every limit in the table above is published; what it costs
to lift them is not, outside the app.

**Free fills up on indicator slots.** A footprint and a heatmap take two of a free layout's three,
however many charts the grid holds, and five indicator alerts go quickly once scripts are watching
several markets. The vendor's own help centre names these as the ceilings people hit first.

**Open known issues on 23 October 2026:** CME data gaps, indicator settings or templates that may
not survive a reload, and indicators that may stall or stop updating while candles keep moving.

**No iPhone app** — the iOS app is "not out yet" with no date — and the Windows desktop build is
"coming soon".

**Some of what Plus adds is other people's opinion.** "Top Callers" plots the calls of X accounts
you pick on your chart. The accounts are yours to choose and nothing is sold as a call, but it is
the one feature here that shows a decision rather than a measurement. This catalogue judged the
product by its charts.

## Alternatives

[TradingView](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/tradingview) is the charting incumbent, sold as a subscription, with crypto as one
market among many. [GoCharting](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/gocharting) is the closest like-for-like — footprint and
market profile in the browser — and keeps its footprint on the paid plan, where this card's is
free. For heatmaps and footprints as a dedicated desk,
[Exocharts](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/exocharts) is filed under terminals, and
[Bookmap vs ATAS vs Exocharts](https://cryptomarkets.tools/compare/bookmap-vs-atas-vs-exocharts) separates that group.
[Aggr](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/aggr) merges live trades and liquidations from many exchanges into one chart under
GPL-3.0, with nothing for sale, and
[Coinalyze](https://cryptomarkets.tools/tools/coinalyze) screens open interest and funding across venues without the chart.

## FAQ

### Is OpenMarket the same as Kiyotaka?

Yes. kiyotaka.ai now redirects to openmarket.xyz, and the documentation's API sandbox still prints the old api.kiyotaka.ai host. The scripting language has moved on too — the help centre now documents wrun, where the 2025 blog posts describe kScript.

### Is OpenMarket really free?

The charts are. The vendor says every plan gets the same live data, every exchange and every chart type, the footprint and TPO included. OpenMarket Plus raises the ceilings — indicator slots, alerts, workspaces, full order-book depth, 1-second candles, a longer lookback — and its price is shown only inside the app. Real-time CME data and the Data API are billed separately.

### Can I trade from OpenMarket?

On Hyperliquid, from your own wallet. The terms describe order entry on Hyperliquid perpetuals through a trading key you authorise, stored in your browser and unable to withdraw, with a builder fee of 0.02% of notional paid to OpenMarket. The help centre also names Binance and Bybit; the terms read on 23 October 2026 did not.

### Can Claude or ChatGPT use OpenMarket?

Yes, through a first-party MCP server. After an OAuth sign-in it can read the chart you have open, change symbols, indicators and drawings, pull candles, open interest and funding, manage alerts and watchlists, and — with the trade scope — place and cancel orders through your open tab. CME data is excluded by CME's licence.
