# tread.fi

Execution algorithms and a market-making bot over your own CEX keys and perp-DEX wallets.

**Best for:** traders working size who want TWAP, VWAP and participation algos, a market-making bot and cost analysis across CEX and perp-DEX accounts they already hold; not for charting or for a fixed monthly price.

## What it is

An execution terminal in a browser — the docs call it "an algorithmic trading terminal and OEMS" —
that works an order over time instead of sending it at once. You connect exchange accounts you
already hold, choose a strategy and a duration, and tread.fi's engine slices the order across them:
Impact Minimization, Time Constant, Target Participation Rate, Aggressive Maker and Taker, Target
Time and an Iceberg, along VWAP, TWAP or implementation-shortfall trajectories, with controls for
passiveness, discretion, clip size, participation limits and an "alpha tilt" that front- or
back-loads the schedule. Scale orders, chained orders, and spread, basis and portfolio orders sit
beside the single-order form. Every order has a live tracking page, markouts and transaction-cost
analysis afterwards.

**The bots are why it is also listed under bots.** A Market Maker bot quotes a pair you choose for a
duration you set, in mid, grid, reverse-grid, dynamic-grid, blend or signal mode — the last tilts
the quotes by up to 50 bps on an RSI reading from a reference market. A Delta Neutral bot runs both
legs of a funding-rate position. Both run on the platform after you close the browser.

**The AI pieces are assistive.** Agents, in beta, take an instruction in plain English — "work 500k
of SOL on Binance over the next 2 hours" — and turn it into an order on accounts you have
whitelisted; the docs say they cannot move funds or override risk limits. A Win Rate Predictor,
trained, the docs say, on over 205,000 executed trades from a 90-day window, scores market-maker bot settings on a
pair you have already chosen by the probability of hitting the stop loss. Neither picks what to
trade.

The company is Tread Labs.

## Pricing

From the fee schedule and the TIP-1 page of the docs, read on 23 October 2026. There is no
subscription.

**Centralised exchanges: no tread.fi fee.** "No volume-based fees are applied to trades on
Centralized Exchanges", and you pay the exchange's own fees. The docs read on the day do not say
whether the exchanges pay tread.fi for that flow; for the perpetual DEXs they do say so — the
TIP-2 page describes "builder-code incentive programs, points campaigns, and token airdrops that
reward the front ends routing volume to them", which tread.fi passes on to TREAD holders.

**Perpetual DEXs: a [builder fee](https://cryptomarkets.tools/glossary/builder-fee)** set by your rolling 14-day volume on the
eligible venues — 2.5 bps under 1 million dollars, 2 bps to 5 million, 1.75 to 10 million, 1.5 to
50 million, 1.25 to 100 million and 1 bp above. On 10,000 dollars of notional at the starting tier
that is 2.50 dollars, on top of the venue's own trading fee.

**The TREAD discount** takes 10% off at 1,000 TREAD, 25% at 10,000, 50% at 100,000 and 100% at
1,000,000, measured by a daily snapshot. A discount priced in a token is not a price — what it
costs to reach a tier moves with the token, which is the subject of
[a token threshold is not a price](https://cryptomarkets.tools/guides/a-token-threshold-is-not-a-price). And the TREAD only
counts in one place: "your Tread wallet address, the same wallet you fund to trade on DEXs" —
the custodial wallet described under Limitations.

**The schedule contradicts itself on which venues it covers.** It names seven — Extended,
Hyperliquid, Nado, Ondo, Pacifica, Perpl and RiseX — then says "volume from all five venues is
combined into a single total". Pacifica is "flat at 2bps" on the fee schedule and TIP-1, and
capped at 2 bps with "all other tiers unaffected" on its connection page. Ondo rounds to whole basis
points, so the 10% and 25% discounts change nothing there.

The API token, self-hosted deployments and the managed service are all by request; no price is
published for any of them.

## Data & coverage

**Venues**, by the connection list on 23 October 2026: Binance (with Portfolio Margin and Portfolio
Margin Pro as separate integrations), Bybit, OKX, Deribit, Gate, Bitget and Coinbase International
among the centralised exchanges; Hyperliquid, Aster, Paradex, Pacifica, Extended, Nado, Ondo, Perpl,
RISEx, Aftermath (on Sui) and Arcus among the decentralised ones. Spot, perpetuals and dated
futures where the venue offers them; options in beta, which the supported-exchange table lists on
Binance, Deribit and OKX.

CEX keys must whitelist tread.fi's IP address, so orders leave from its servers rather than your
machine. Most perpetual DEXs connect by a signature from the wallet that holds the account, and on
Ondo, Perpl and Arcus that signature creates a trade-only key; Aster takes an API key like a CEX.

Market data — order books and trades — streams from the venues; tread.fi adds a Market Scan of
perpetual markets ranked by open interest against top-of-book depth, funding-rate analytics and
pre-trade estimates.

## Integrations

A REST API for simple and algorithmic orders, multi-orders, accounts, risk limits and analytics,
and WebSocket streams for order updates and for prices and order books. The API token is issued on
request. A Telegram bot, in beta, places, checks and cancels orders and sends alerts. The
institutional plan adds an admin panel with trading groups and risk limits. The self-hosted
service runs the engine in your own cloud with Docker, keeping keys, history and balances "private,
even from Tread Labs". The docs index has no MCP page.

## Limitations

**The custodial half is outside this card.** DEX swaps — any token on Base, BNB Smart Chain,
Ethereum or Solana through OKX DEX, at 0.4% per trade — run from "a secure trading wallet" tread.fi
creates for you, and the Polymarket page names it: "Tread wallet is a custodial unified wallet
that lets users hold crypto … without managing private keys. It's built on top of Magic."
Withdrawals go only to the wallet you connected at setup. A wallet the vendor holds is on the far
side of this catalogue's custody line, so the swaps, Polymarket trading and the TREAD discount
that depends on that wallet are not what this card lists; the exchange and perp-DEX execution is.
Kalshi, by contrast, connects with your own Kalshi API key and the docs say tread "never custodies
Kalshi funds".

**Not a charting terminal.** The order form and the tracking pages are the product. The terminal
view has a price chart, and the docs index has no page on footprint charts, a DOM ladder or
indicators.

**Price discovery by asking.** Anything beyond the web app — the API, self-hosting, the managed
service — has no published price.

**The docs drift.** Five venues or seven, Pacifica flat or capped, Extended's own connection page
quoting a flat 2 bps against the tiered schedule, and Bitget listed in the
supported-exchange table both with full trading and, in a second row, as "trading is not yet
supported". The referral programme closed on 1 October 2026 and its page still describes it.

## FAQ

### Is tread.fi free?

On centralised exchanges, yes — the fee schedule says no volume-based fees apply to trades on Binance, Bybit and the other CEXs, and you pay only the exchange's own fees. On the perpetual DEXs that carry a builder fee, tread.fi charges 1 to 2.5 basis points of notional by 14-day volume, less a discount for holding its TREAD token.

### Which venues does the tread.fi builder fee apply to?

The fee schedule lists seven perpetual DEXs — Extended, Hyperliquid, Nado, Ondo, Pacifica, Perpl and RiseX — and then says volume "from all five venues" is combined. Pacifica is described as flat at 2 bps on one page and capped at 2 bps on another.

### Does tread.fi hold my funds?

Not for exchange trading. CEX accounts connect with API keys whitelisted to tread.fi's IP address, and Hyperliquid and Pacifica connect by signing with your own wallet. DEX swaps and Polymarket trading are different. They trade from a Tread Wallet that the docs call custodial, built on Magic, which this catalogue does not list.

### Does tread.fi require KYC?

Not by its own docs. Sign-up is an email address or a connected wallet. The exchanges you connect apply their own checks — the Binance guide tells you to complete KYC with Binance before creating a key.
