Look Into Bitcoin

Bitcoin-only on-chain and cycle charts, free once a day, hourly with alerts and an API.

Best for Bitcoin holders and analysts who want the cycle and holder charts in one place with level alerts; not for any other chain, intraday data or a product built on the numbers.

What it is

A website of Bitcoin charts: on-chain valuation metrics such as MVRV Z-Score, NUPL, Reserve Risk, SOPR and realised price; holder behaviour such as HODL waves and long- and short-term holder supply; address-balance cohorts; mining data; funding rates and open interest; Lightning capacity; and a macro section that charts Bitcoin against money supply, rates, inflation and equities. The API page claims 200+ metrics; the metric list in the API documentation has 98 rows. It covers one chain and says so in its name.

It launched in 2019. In the vendor's words, "In 2024, we were asked to become the analytics arm of Bitcoin Magazine, operating for two years as Bitcoin Magazine Pro. With that chapter complete, we have now returned to our roots as Look Into Bitcoin." The old Bitcoin Magazine Pro domain redirects here. The disclaimer names Trendstorm Pte. Ltd. as the company providing the data; the about page names Philip Swift as founder and CEO.

What else the subscription carries, named for what it is. Paid plans include weekly newsletters, monthly reports and videos, which the vendor says "forecast where Bitcoin is in its market cycles, and where price may be moving next". That is commentary by the site's analysts. A number of the charts are price models by their own names — Stock-to-Flow, Power Law, the Pi Cycle Top Prediction, a group headed "Price Forecast Tools" — and the alert lists include items called Structure, Psychology and Fundamentals Strategy on Advanced, with Value, Macro and Master Strategy added on Professional, none of them described on the pricing page. This catalogue judged the product by its charts and its data; the commentary and the models are described, not assessed.

Pricing

All in US dollars, read from the subscribe page on 23 October 2026, which opens on the annual toggle.

  • Free — no email sign-up, limited chart access, market-cycle charts updated every 24 hours, no alerts.
  • Advanced — 35 a month month-to-month, or 29 a month billed annually. Every Bitcoin chart, hourly updates on the market-cycle charts, 40 email alerts, 10 private TradingView indicators, essential access to the macro and portfolio tools, members' reports.
  • Professional — 99 a month, billed annually only: the page's monthly toggle switches the Advanced price and nothing else, and there is no monthly checkout link for this plan. Adds 100+ alerts, 20 TradingView indicators, full macro and portfolio tools, CSV downloads and the API.
  • Enterprise licence — for a company putting the data in front of its own users, as raw data, as metrics inside its product or as a white-labelled chart suite. Annual, priced by stage and use case, quoted by email within 24 hours by the vendor's own promise, with reduced rates for start-ups and existing subscribers.

The FAQ says cards only (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay), annual billing saves 20%, cancellation keeps access to the end of the paid period, and no refunds are issued. No trial is offered.

Data & coverage

Bitcoin, and Bitcoin against the world. Price history runs from August 2010. The on-chain series are Bitcoin's own; the derivatives section carries funding rates and open interest; the macro suite pulls in M1 and M2, Federal Reserve rates and balance sheet, Treasury yields, CPI, the dollar index and equity indices; the treasury section tracks listed companies' Bitcoin holdings; and four series track spot Bitcoin ETF flows in dollars and in coins.

Hourly at best. The free view refreshes market-cycle charts once a day and paid plans hourly. The API returns the same values as the live charts, updated daily and hourly for selected metrics. The hourly list in the API documentation is short: the averaged funding rate and the funding rates of Binance, Bitfinex, BitMEX, Bybit and OKX, the Golden Ratio Multiplier, the 200-week moving average heatmap, the Investor Tool, the Pi Cycle Top and Profitable Days. Everything else is daily. "Real-time" on the pricing page refers to the private TradingView indicators.

One of those funding series is a closed venue. BitMEX ceased trading on 23 September 2026; the API's hourly list still named fr-bitmex on 23 October 2026. The documentation does not say whether the averaged funding rate includes it.

Integrations

API — on the Professional plan only, at api.lookintobitcoin.com, authenticated with a bearer token. One endpoint lists the metrics, another returns a metric's series, optionally bounded by from_date and to_date, with hourly=1 for the hourly ones. The documentation's own Python examples read the response into a DataFrame as CSV. No rate limit is published, in the docs or on the API page.

TradingView — private indicators, counted as 10 on Advanced and 20 on Professional. The subscribe page names all ten for Advanced (the Investor Tool, Pi Cycle Top, Pi Cycle Top and Bottom, Puell Multiple, 200-week moving average heatmap, Stock-to-Flow, realised price, SOPR, NUPL and MVRV Z-Score) and ten more for Professional.

Alerts go out by email. There are no webhooks, and nothing on the API page or in the documentation mentions an MCP server.

Limitations

One chain. Nothing here reads Ethereum, Solana or any token. A reader watching more than Bitcoin needs a second product.

Not intraday. A metric that updates once a day on the free plan and hourly at best on a paid one is a cycle chart, not a trading feed.

The API is a personal licence. Professional is "for personal use", and the moment the numbers appear in something other people use, the Enterprise licence applies — at a price the vendor does not publish. The vendor allows Professional for internal integration and testing as long as nothing is shown to end users.

Professional cannot be bought by the month. The cheapest way to the API or CSV is a year at 99 a month, with no refunds.

Alerts are by chart, by email. The pricing page lists which charts can alert and describes the alert as an email when a chart hits "key levels"; it does not say whether the reader sets the level. Nothing arrives by webhook, so wiring an alert into anything else means reading mail.

Alternatives

Glassnode and CryptoQuant chart the same family of Bitcoin holder and valuation metrics and add other chains and exchange flows; Glassnode vs CryptoQuant separates those two. Santiment covers many more assets, with social and development data beside the on-chain series. None of the three is limited to Bitcoin.

FAQ

Is Look Into Bitcoin the same as Bitcoin Magazine Pro?

Yes. The vendor says it became the analytics arm of Bitcoin Magazine in 2024, ran for two years as Bitcoin Magazine Pro, and has returned to the Look Into Bitcoin name. The old domain now redirects to lookintobitcoin.com.

How much does the Look Into Bitcoin API cost?

The API comes only with the Professional plan, 99 USD a month billed annually, and that plan is for personal use. Showing the data to other people — in an app, a site or a product — needs the Enterprise licence, which is priced on request.

Is Look Into Bitcoin free?

Some of it. The free view needs no email address, shows a limited set of charts and updates the market-cycle charts once every 24 hours, with no alerts. Hourly updates, every chart and alerts start with Advanced at 35 USD month to month or 29 a month billed annually.

Does Look Into Bitcoin cover Ethereum or other coins?

No. Every on-chain metric is Bitcoin's. The other series on the site are macro data — money supply, rates, inflation, equities — charted against Bitcoin, plus Bitcoin ETF flows and the holdings of listed companies.
