DropsTab API

Token unlocks, vesting schedules, funding rounds and investors over REST, from 19 USD.

Best for developers who want token-unlock schedules, funding rounds and investor data in their own product at a lower price than the specialists; not for a streaming price feed, or for unlock data on the cheapest plan.

What it is

The commercial API of DropsTab, a crypto data site whose own pages include token unlocks, funding rounds and investors. What it sells is reference data a price API does not carry: token unlock events and vesting schedules with locked and unlocked supply, private and public funding rounds, a directory of investors and venture firms, a feed of project events it calls "crypto activities" (listings, upgrades, launches, partnerships), plus coin lists, coin detail, price history, a fear-and-greed index and exchange pairs.

It is a fundamentals product with market data attached, and the same shape as the CryptoRank API: you buy it for the unlocks and the rounds, and the prices come along. The free unlock calendar on the DropsTab website is the vendor's site, not this product; Drops Bot, the vendor's Telegram alerts product, is a separate purchase and is not listed here.

Pricing

In US dollars, from the plan cards and the endpoint matrix on the API page, read on 23 October 2026. Yearly billing saves 17%.

  • Basic — 19 a month (16 billed yearly). 6 endpoints, 100,000 requests a month.
  • Advanced — 59 (49). 16 endpoints, 500,000 requests.
  • Pro — 299 (249). All 23 endpoints, 2 million requests.
  • Enterprise — on request.

Every plan is capped at 100 requests a minute; support response runs from 48 hours on Basic to 4 on Enterprise.

The ladder is datasets, and the matrix is the only place it is written down. Read cell by cell: Basic has the four coin endpoints, the fear index and timeframe charts — no unlocks, no rounds, no investors, no exchanges. Advanced adds price on a date and charts between dates, investors, the unlock overview and supported-coin list, the funding-rounds list and exchanges. Pro adds the two endpoints a token-supply reader actually wants — one token's full vesting schedule and its unlock chart — and funding-round detail, rounds by coin, and the crypto-activities feed. Below Pro you can see that an unlock is coming; you cannot read the schedule behind it.

Data & coverage

Unlock schedules and funding rounds are compiled by DropsTab — the rounds from "publicly available sources", by the API reference — not read off a chain. The FAQ says coins and unlocks update in real time and rounds and investors "as new data becomes available"; there is no stream or webhook, so every endpoint is polled.

Most dataset endpoints are keyed by slug, and the reference warns that "the slug is an internal DropsTab identifier that may change over time" and recommends looking coins up by ID. The reference also documents coin endpoints the plan matrix does not mention — exact search, lookup by DropsTab ID, by symbol and by contract address — so which plan reaches them is not stated.

Integrations

REST and JSON at public-api.dropstab.com/api/v1, authenticated with an x-dropstab-api-key header, documented as an OpenAPI 3 reference. The reference pages were last updated in June 2026. The docs index lists no SDK and no MCP server.

Limitations

  • Unlock schedules start at 299 dollars. Advanced lists unlocks; only Pro returns a token's schedule.
  • One rate limit for everyone. 100 requests a minute on every plan, including Pro.
  • Compiled data. Rounds and allocations a project never published are not in it, and the API cannot tell you which.
  • Slugs move. Unlock and funding endpoints are keyed by a slug the vendor says can change.

Alternatives

Tokenomist, formerly TokenUnlocks, is the unlock specialist, with API access and an MCP server. The CryptoRank API sells the same pairing of rounds and unlocks with a free Sandbox, though its unlock data starts at 475 dollars. Blockworks Intel, formerly Messari, adds research and fundraising data.

FAQ

Which DropsTab API plan includes token unlock data?

Advanced, at 59 USD a month, gets the overview of all unlocks and the list of tokens that have unlock data. The detailed schedule for one token and its unlock chart start at Pro, 299 USD a month. Basic has no unlock endpoints at all, by the plan matrix on the vendor's API page on 23 October 2026.

Is there a free DropsTab API plan?

No. The cheapest plan is Basic at 19 USD a month, 16 billed yearly. DropsTab's own token-unlock calendar is free to read on its website, but that is the website, not the API.

Where does DropsTab's funding-round data come from?

From public sources, by the API reference — the funding-rounds endpoint is described as "sourced from publicly available sources", with date, amount, investors and round type. A round that was never announced is not in it.
