Thrive
A perps trading journal with read-only sync and AI review of a trade against its market.
Best for CEX perpetuals traders on Binance, Bybit or OKX who want fills synced read-only and reviewed against funding and liquidations; not for anyone who wants a free tier, an API or a journal without a signal feed attached.

What it is
A trading journal for crypto, built around perpetual futures on centralised exchanges. Trades arrive three ways — typed into a form, uploaded as CSV, or synced from an exchange through a read-only API key — and land in one schema with entry and exit, size, leverage, fees, funding paid or received, a planned stop for R-multiples, free-text notes, emotion and strategy tags, and up to ten screenshots per trade. Partial exits and scale-ins can be grouped into one position. The performance pages compute win rate, profit factor, equity curve, drawdown and R-multiples, sliced by tag, setup, session or asset.
The part the vendor leads with is the review. The docs say an AI trade review is "computed from your journal and the market stored next to the fill" — a post-trade read of a completed trade against what funding, liquidations and open interest were doing around it. The journal landing page adds a day replay, an AI review per session, links between a trade and the alert or signal that prompted it, and a read-only share link for a coach.
Around the journal sits a market-data screen on the top 20 assets: funding, liquidations, volume and open interest as a feed, a divergence and swing-failure heatmap, a screener, TradingView-based charts, a macro calendar and up to 50 custom alerts. The docs' welcome page says Thrive "does not route live orders and does not tell you what to buy"; its own Alpha Signal docs say otherwise on the second half (see Limitations).
The publisher is Thrive DeFi, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company at 8 The Green, Dover, named in Terms of Service effective 20 October 2026. The same LLC operates Yield.ly, a yield dashboard that is not part of this product.
Scope note. Pro also includes the Thrive Metrics, one of which, the Thrive Alpha Signal, is a directional call, and the data feed and the AI tools carry more (see Limitations). The vendor's Terms further describe a Creator Marketplace, called the Workbench Marketplace in the same section, in which independent users sell signals, strategies, notebooks and alert packs, by one-off purchase or monthly subscription, with Thrive keeping a 20 percent platform fee; and Strategy Vaults "where available". Its Regulatory Position page files paid signal and vault subscriptions under the marketplace and says "Creators are independent publishers." Those are other people's trade decisions sold as subscriptions; this catalogue does not list them and nothing here assesses them. The card judges Thrive by its journal.
How it is funded besides subscriptions. Thrive's Regulatory Position page describes the company as "a referral partner to third-party exchanges", and its Terms provide for a referral fee when a user signs up at a partner exchange through a tracked link. The docs' compliance page contradicts both: it says Thrive does not publish exchange referral links. Its partners page sells nine category-exclusive placements at $3,000 to $5,000 a month each — among them an Exchange Partner slot that buys an exclusive sync module on the journal and the connections docs and a deep link to that exchange's onboarding — and says sponsors cannot buy signal order or journal scoring. All nine read open on 4 November 2026. A separate affiliate programme pays Pro members 15 percent of a referred customer's payments for up to twelve months, in USDC on Base or Polygon or in credits.
Pricing
One plan, Pro, read on 4 November 2026 from the pricing page, the Terms of Service and the docs.
- Pro — $99 a month. $999 a year by the Terms and the docs' plans page; the pricing page's annual toggle prints "2 months free" and "Save $189/yr" (which matches $999 against twelve months at $99, not two free months).
- AI credits. Pro includes 2,000 a month, not rolled over; the docs reset them on the first of the calendar month, the site's credit breakdown page each billing cycle. The docs price each action: viewing a signal 2 credits, a screener or derivatives query 5, an AI trade review 50, a deep-research report 250, an email alert 1. Browsing the journal and the performance pages costs nothing. 2,000 credits is forty trade reviews if nothing else is spent.
- Credit packs — 500 credits for $29.99, 1,400 for $69.99, 2,500 for $129.99, 10,000 for $499.99. They never expire, are used only after the monthly allowance, and are non-refundable once delivered. The Affiliate Terms value a credit at $0.02 retail; the packs work out at five to six cents.
- Academy — included in Pro; $197 on its own. The pricing FAQ says the trial includes it, the plan box on the same page says "Academy once you pay".
- Refunds — the first full $99 payment can be refunded on request within seven days of the charge; every later charge is final.
The trial: $0 today, and the vendor's pages contradict each other on what happens after. The Terms say new accounts get a 7-day trial "with no card", that the app locks when it ends, and that "the subscription does not start by itself". The refund clause of the same Terms says to "cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first $99 monthly charge". The Pro landing page says "Card required" and that "the subscription continues at $99/month unless you cancel before day 8"; the pricing page's structured data says no card is required. The card records the contradiction and does not resolve it — read the checkout screen.
Pro+ is not on sale. The docs' plans page prices Pro+ at $349 a month or $3,499 a year with whale tracking, smart-money data, a SQL and Python Workbench, backtested alerts and 100-plus assets. The Terms say "Pro+ is not sold", and the docs' welcome page says pages describing Pro+ or the Workbench cover features not sold on the public site. None of that is a tier on this card.
Data & coverage
Which exchanges sync depends on which page you read. The docs' connections page and FAQ list nine centralised exchanges: Binance (spot, USD-M and COIN-M futures), Bybit, OKX, Bitget, Coinbase (Advanced spot only), Kraken (spot and futures), KuCoin, MEXC and Gate.io. The docs' trade-journal page lists a different set — Binance, Bybit, OKX and Bitget, plus unnamed "on-chain perps" with vault history and dYdX through its on-chain transaction history — and omits the other five. The journal landing page says "29+ CEX & DEX connections" and names six of them. Anything else comes in by CSV, with column mapping and duplicate detection on asset, direction, entry price and timestamp.
Sync depth and interval disagree too. The connections page and the FAQ say the first sync imports up to 12 months of trade history, then trades sync every 15 minutes and balances every 60 minutes. The trade-journal page says the first sync covers the last 90 days and incremental syncs run every 5 minutes. Older trades need a CSV upload either way.
No portfolio view is sold. The docs still carry a Portfolio page — holdings across connected
exchanges, balances refreshed every 60 seconds — but neither the pricing page nor the Pro page
lists it, and on 4 November 2026 the /portfolio path on both the site and the app redirected to
the site's free tools index, while a made-up path on either returns 404. The card does not flag
portfolio tracking.
Funding. The trade-journal docs say Binance funding payments are extracted automatically; the landing page says trades import with fees and funding "where available", and the manual form has a funding field for the rest.
Market data. Pro covers the top 20 assets by market capitalisation. The FAQ says prices,
funding, open interest and volume update every five minutes from aggregated exchange feeds, with a
WebSocket ticker for live prices — hence delayed on this card, although the Pro page sells
"Real-time signals" and the docs' welcome page claims "sub-minute latency". The vendor's
data-sources page names eight categories of supplier — spot and derivatives exchanges,
derivatives analytics, on-chain, social sentiment, DeFi protocols, prediction markets, options
markets and aggregators — but no vendors, which it calls proprietary.
Export. The journal exports as CSV or JSON, by the homepage FAQ; the performance page exports trades and computed metrics as CSV.
Integrations
Read-only exchange keys, encrypted with AES-256 at rest by the docs, and deleted on disconnect. Thrive's servers use rotating IPs, so the connections page says strict IP whitelisting of the key is impractical.
No API on Pro. The only API in the docs, read in full from their sitemap on 4 November 2026,
is a Workbench REST API (/api/v1/query, /api/v1/signals and four more endpoints) that the
advanced-Workbench page reserves for Pro+, which is not sold; so are the Workbench's webhook
deliveries. No docs page mentions MCP.
Alerts go out by email (1 credit each) or as push notifications through the installed web app, besides the in-app bell; the alert docs name no webhook.
A web app only. Sign-up is by email, Google or GitHub. The docs describe a progressive web app that installs to a home screen; an App Store search on 4 November 2026 found no app from this vendor.
Limitations
- The Thrive Alpha Signal is a directional call, and the card is flagged for it. In the vendor's words it is "a directional bias score from -100 to +100", labelled Strong Long, Long, Neutral, Short and Strong Short, that tells you "which direction the alpha is pointing and how aggressively to lean"; the docs suggest taking 1.5 times normal size above ±60. It is included in Pro. It is not the only one. The Thrive Regime Pulse, also in Pro, attaches a strategy to each regime, down to "contrarian buy zone" and "take profit". The data-feed docs say the feed "does not tell you to buy or sell", yet each signal is generated "with a direction" and resolved as a Win or a Loss on whether price moved that way. The AI docs describe an AI Trade Ideas generator that returns three to five ideas ranked by conviction, each with asset, direction, entry zone, stop loss and take-profit targets, for 25 credits; the site's credit table adds an AI Trade Builder Plan with "entries, targets, and risk parameters" for 10. This catalogue judged Thrive by its journal; those modules are somebody else's opinion on price and nothing here assesses them.
- The documentation describes more than you can buy. Large parts of the docs — Workbench, whale watch, smart money, 100-plus assets — are Pro+, which is not sold. The journal landing page promises "Replay any trade in 1m candles" while its own FAQ says per-fill trade replay is a Pro+ feature.
- The vendor's pages contradict each other on facts a buyer needs: the trial and its renewal, the exchange list, the first-sync depth and the sync interval, as set out above. On write-enabled keys, the connections page says Thrive never accepts them and, further down, that it shows a warning if it detects one; the trade-journal page and the FAQ say such keys are rejected.
- Five-minute market data on 20 assets. The feed beside the journal is not a live derivatives screen. Pro's market data covers the top 20 assets only, and no page says what an AI review of a trade in any other asset is compared against.
- Reviews cost credits. Journal browsing is free, but the docs and the credit table charge 50 of the monthly 2,000 for each AI trade review; heavy use means buying packs. The journal landing page says day replay and AI session review carry "no credit charges", while the site's credit table prices a session weekly review at 15. Alerts draw on the same allowance: 1 credit per custom-alert check, evaluated "on each data update", and no page reconciles that with 50 alerts on 2,000 credits.
- "Paper practice" is not described. The docs' welcome page lists paper practice as part of the product, and the site's credit table lists "paper trades from Session Desk" among the free actions; no page in the docs index describes a paper-trading mode or a Session Desk, so the card does not flag one.
- Model disclosure is inconsistent. The AI docs say Thrive does not name its language-model vendors, and on the same page that every AI output discloses which model was used.
Alternatives
The other journals in crypto trading journals are the direct comparison: CoinMarketMan syncs futures from seven venues and has a free Basic tier, and TradeChainly is one $23.99 plan with a read-only MCP connector. Outside the category, Altrady is a multi-exchange trading workspace with a trade journal built in, for a trader who wants to place the orders and review them in one product; Tealstreet keeps a position history with fees inside a trading terminal. For the funding, open-interest and liquidation data on its own, without a journal, CoinGlass is free for most of it.

FAQ
How much does Thrive cost?
Pro is the only plan on sale, at $99 a month or $999 a year by the Terms of Service and the docs, read on 4 November 2026. It includes 2,000 AI credits a month; an AI review of one trade costs 50. Credit packs from $29.99 for 500 credits are extra. The docs also price a Pro+ plan at $349 a month, but the Terms say Pro+ is not sold.
Does the Thrive free trial need a card, and does it renew by itself?
The vendor's pages disagree. The Terms say the 7-day trial needs no card, the app locks when it ends and the subscription does not start by itself, while a refund clause in the same Terms says to cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first $99 charge. The Pro page says a card is required and the subscription continues at $99 unless cancelled before day 8.
Can Thrive place trades or withdraw from my exchange account?
No, by the vendor's Terms and docs. Exchange connections use read-only API keys, and Thrive says it does not execute trades or request withdrawal permission. The docs disagree on whether a key with write permission is rejected or only flagged with a warning, so create the key read-only yourself.
Does Thrive give trading signals?
Several modules do. The Thrive Alpha Signal, included in Pro, is a directional score from -100 to +100 labelled Strong Long to Strong Short, which the docs suggest using to size positions; data-feed signals carry a predicted direction and are scored Win or Loss; an AI Trade Ideas generator returns entries, stops and targets. This catalogue lists Thrive as a journal and flags it for those modules; the card does not assess them.
